Joints for Polymer Cables
|
|
Our range covers joints for polymer cables up to 550 kV with a cross-section up to 2500 mm2. Due to exceptionally good properties, the core of our joints is a one-piece pre-tested slip-on joint body made of silicone rubber (SiR). The modular construction makes it possible to combine the advantages of the joints’ various protection methods. Your benefit is maximum operational safety at cost-effective prices.
The most important advantages at a glance:
|
|
- Very high dielectric strength of the SiR used of > 23 kV/mm at 50/50 Hz
-
Excellent temperature stability of the SiR between - 50 ... 180 °C
-
Very high lifetime of the SiR of u >> 40
-
Exceptionally good field control properties of the electrodes under all voltage loads
-
Zero-failure rate of the joint bodies supplied as they are all subjected to final electrical testing
-
Excellent contact from joint body to cable due to very high elasticity of the SiR
-
Very high level of reliability as a metal lateral water protector is standard in all joints
-
High level of flexibility in use as the joints are available in varying degrees of protection
-
Easy to install
