The business unit CTP develops innovative coated tension elements. We offer customer-specific solutions for flexible power transmission for the market segments of hoists and elevators.
Thanks to our many years of experience in the stranding of metallic and non-metallic materials and the processing of high-tech synthetic materials by means of extrusion, we are market leaders in these fields and our customers consider us to be a highly innovative development partner.
In cooperation with OTIS, the world’s largest manufacturer of elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks, we developed the grooveless coated tension elements which meet the stringent requirements of passenger transport in some of the world’s tallest buildings.
Unlike our competitors, we are able – thanks to the continuously improved extrusion process - to produce the flat, steel rope-armored tension elements with a smooth surface. This ensures low-vibration and low-noise operation and contributes significantly to the long service life of the flat belts. These innovative products “Made in Switzerland” enable our customers all over the world to extend their product range and develop new markets.
