Apprenticeship

Transform your potential into expertise with hands-on vocational training at one of Switzerland’s leading cable manufacturers.

Comprehensive vocational training programs

Brugg Cables provides exceptional career-starting opportunities for motivated school-leavers through professionally structured apprenticeship programs. We offer training in two distinct specializations – Business Administration to EFZ level and Automated System Controller -where experienced vocational trainers deliver both technical expertise and personal development support. Our modular training approach ensures apprentices gain comprehensive industry knowledge while developing practical skills essential for long-term career success. Selected candidates participate in trial apprenticeship days before program commencement, allowing both parties to ensure the right fit. We publish new apprenticeship vacancies every summer and autumn, providing young professionals the foundation to build rewarding careers in Switzerland’s industrial sector.

Business Administration to EFZ Level

Our three-year Business Administration apprenticeship welcomes three school-leavers annually, including students pursuing the Swiss M-Profile for professional maturity. Trainees rotate through all essential departments of an industrial company – purchasing, sales, shipping, and accounting – gaining diverse commercial experience through our modular curriculum. The program follows the model industry curriculum for “Service and Administration,” ensuring comprehensive preparation for professional success. Throughout the training period, skilled vocational trainers provide continuous guidance and supervision, helping apprentices develop both technical competencies and professional confidence. This structured approach creates versatile business professionals ready to excel in various commercial environments.

Automated System Controller

As an Automated System Controller apprentice earning your EFZ in Industrial Engineering, you become responsible for ensuring smooth operation of our production machinery and plants. Your training encompasses planning, installation, adjustment, and operation of industrial systems, including shift work as part of daily responsibilities. You’ll monitor entire production processes while maintaining our rigorous quality standards. We seek candidates with completed secondary school education, technical interest, manual skills, team spirit, reliability, and willingness to work shifts. The ideal apprentice brings an open, communicative personality with enthusiasm for contributing ideas and optimizing processes. This hands-on training prepares you for a dynamic career in advanced manufacturing technology.
